Top Wireless Technology Trends

-

Wireless Network is an emerging technology of the 21st century but saying that it has emerged as a powerful technology will not be wrong. It is making our work portable and flexible. You can take your office with yourself and share anything from anywhere.

Wireless technologies have made our communication easier and faster. This developed technology is upgrading day by day. One must know the trends of these technologies to keep himself updated. So, let us discuss the top trends of wireless technology that are taking this world to the next level.

1)   WiFi

WiFi is the most popular and common wireless technology. According to the sources, WiFi will remain on the top till 2024 for house and office use. It plays an important role in offices, education, and other places. Now, this technology has been used in the detection, authentication, and radar systems.

If you have an ethernet-only device, then you can also connect it to WiFi. For this, you will need to convert the WiFi to LAN. WiFi is famous because of its simplicity, portability, mobility, and scalability. WiFi is secure, but to keep the network personal and more secure, one can use the password.

2)   5G Cellular

Internet of things is covering the world of technology. Everything is on the internet, and 5G is one of those technologies that is making IoT implementable.

5G cellular provides greater transmission speed and low latency. It results in better capacity and increases the number of connected devices.

5G cellular network gives a solution to the network overloading by allowing subnetting. It divides an entire network into small subnets, and that makes the internet of networks secure and speedy.

3)   Bluetooth

Bluetooth technology is quite common in people for wireless communication. It connects one electronic device to another device wirelessly and allows file sharing and data transfer.

Nowadays, there are such accessories that can be connected to mobile phones using Bluetooth technology. You can also connect hardware to your laptop / PC wirelessly. For example, you just need to know how to connect wireless keyboard to laptop, and then you can say goodbye to the wired keyboard.

Bluetooth has a limited range for connection that is around 20 feet, but it has now increased this range to 50 feet. It uses very little power hence saves battery life.

4)   Wireless Sensing

Wireless sensor network technology act as a bridge between the world and the information system. WSN comprises sensors, receiver, micro-controller, and a power source. The network does not get down even if it is out of range because other gateways transfer that data.  It is used in wearable tech too.

Wireless sensing covers a large area and provides a network to it. The communication through WSN is reliable and continuous. Wireless sensing allows one network to communicate with an external network and share data.

5)   Vehicle to Everything (V2X) Wireless

As the name, vehicle to everything (V2X) shows that it is a wireless technology that allows communication and transfer of data from the vehicle to the surroundings using short wireless signals.

V2X does not get interfered with by poor weather and provides a reliable network. V2X is implemented in many real-life technologies. Automatic vehicles are an example of V2X networking. V2X allows automatic bill payments and fees like tolls and parking.

6)   WiMAX

WiMAX is a short form of Worldwide interoperability for Microwave Access. This is a technology that allows wireless networking between one point to multiple points.

WiMAX works on standard IEEE 802.16. It provides very high-speed data transfer in a wide range of areas. The basis of the WiMAX network is the sharing of available bandwidth.

An ideal WiMAX network offers a bandwidth of around 70Mbps. WiMAX helps build a private network like video conferences. To know more about WiMAX, have a peek here.

7)   ZigBee

The technology that allows low-cost and low-power wireless networks is a “ZigBee Network.” It works on the principle of IEEE 802.15.4 standard. ZigBee provides flexibility in networks and consumes less power. Hence it has a long battery.

ZigBee network installation is easy and inexpensive as compared to other technologies. It has the advantage of transferring data over a large area in low power. There are 128-bit symmetric encryption keys in ZigBee that provide proof of its security.

Conclusion:

The above technologies take place on the top list of wireless technologies. Each network method has its own advantage. These trending technologies are becoming more advance with time, making communication more efficient and reliable.

Any organization chooses the network according to its needs and circumstances. Like if one wants to transfer data in a room, then Bluetooth will work fine but wants to transfer to a device that is far then WiFi or WSN. So choose your network wisely.
