Reed Recruitment has awarded Azzurri Communications a multi-million pound, five year contract to provide a network and telecoms managed service for its 3,000 employees. The contract redefines the traditional method of deploying and managing a Wide Area Network (WAN), with service levels focused on the employee experience of business applications, rather than on technical criteria. Verizon Wireless Completes Successful 4G LTE Technical Trials Using The Ecrio Client Framework For Next Generation Rich Communications Services

BASKING RIDGE, NJ, and CUPERTINO, CA — Verizon Wireless today announced the successful completion of technical trials of 4G LTE IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) powered voice, video and mobile content sharing services using the Ecrio client framework. Verizon Wireless selected Ecrio’s IMS client application framework in 2009, and the product has since been qualified and embedded in a range of mobile devices in preparation for launch across the Verizon Wireless 4G LTE network.
ZTE Releases New RFC for IP Multimedia Session Domains
21 March 2011, Shenzhen – ZTE Corporation (“ZTE”) (H share stock code: 0763.HK / A share stock code: 000063.SZ), a leading global provider of telecommunications equipment and network solutions, today announced it has published an RFC (Request for Comments) standard on IP Multimedia Session (IMS) domains, together with one of the world’s famous international vendors. It is also recommended as the Standard Track of the highest level by IETF (Internet Engineering Task Force).
Known as RFC6141, the document is a guide for interworking between SIP elements and equipment, and seeks to address issues around core network products such as SIP terminals, the CSCF of each vendors and SIP AS (ex. IMS, AS, and multimedia conferencing AS). The proposed standard in IP multimedia session domain will help in promoting Internet standards and technologies improvement and highlight ZTE’s pioneering and leadership role in the fields of industry standards.
