London, United Kingdom – Wednesday 1 April – Android games monetization and user acquisition platform Bee7 today announced a partnership with SuperAwesome, the global advertising platform for kids, to create the biggest COPPA-compliant advertising network specifically for mobile games.
The partnership makes it easier for brands and publishers to advertise mobile games to children in a safe and user-friendly way. It combines SuperAwesome’s network of more than 200 million monthly active users and 160 brands with Bee7’s loyalty-based mobile game discovery platform.
Through Bee7’s platform kids and parents can discover and play new games, while SuperAwesome’s technology ensures the game and advertising content meets strict kid-safe standards. This gives parents peace of mind that their children can play mobile games without being exposed to inappropriate content or new game suggestions.
Mobile games are one of the most popular playtime activities for children under the age of 12, representing a significant opportunity for brands to engage with a younger audience. This age group also plays more mobile titles than any other demographic. With the latest changes to COPPA enacted in the United States in 2013 and the European Union looking to implement a similar standard next year, this partnership addresses a growing demand for brands to reach children with safe, age-appropriate content via mobile.
John Rankin, Managing Director of Bee7 said: “The advertising influence of mobile games is growing rapidly as brands continue to produce and license games as promotional content. This partnership gives parents the peace of mind that their children can play and discover new mobile games without being exposed to inappropriate content. Together, Bee7 and
SuperAwesome also creates an extremely powerful and engaging tool for advertisers to promote kid-safe games in an appropriate manner.”
Dylan Collins, CEO of SuperAwesome said: “This is a huge step forward for the kids mobile industry. Our partnership takes the mobile expertise of Bee7 and combines it with our kid-safe advertising technology to advance the market enormously. For brands, this creates the largest kid-safe, mobile gaming (CPI) ad channel in the world. For developers of kids content, it offers another great COPPA-compliant, content-appropriate revenue stream on top of our premium campaigns.”
SuperAwesome will integrate Bee7’s Game Wall and loyalty mechanic into their kid-safe AwesomeAds platform. Kid-specific and age-appropriate mobile game advertising campaigns will be delivered by Bee7 through SuperAwesome’s AwesomeAds platform on a cost-per-install (CPI) basis, ensuring compliance standards for COPPA and across the world.
Developers of kids mobile games can access the Bee7 CPI kid-safe option through SuperAwesome’s SDK (dashboard.superawesome.tv). The CPI option is currently available for Android.
