With Star’s experience in hardware integration in the ever-expanding mobile payment market as well as comprehensive multi-product API and SDKs, developers can easily integrate custom Android, iOS and Windows based apps for retail, hospitality, event ticketing and queue management.
Reflecting its commitment to the mPOS marketplace, Star has recently launched its new free of charge digital receipting service, offering the retailer a low cost, fast route to providing the customer with a digital image of a print receipt and coupon using the Star App on their mobile as well as access to analytics, an in-store customer survey and device management tools.
With zero development required, AllReceipts™ is enabled within the Star TSP100 printer driver and works independently of a retailer’s POS software. With over 5 million installations worldwide, the Star TSP100 printer has an established customer base that will be able to instantly benefit from this cloud based digital receipting service. Triggered by a traditional printed receipt, a digital copy of the receipt is sent to the AllReceipts App on the customer’s mobile with no email address required, thus allowing the customer to remain anonymous.
Star’s new mobile point of purchase solution mPOP™ combines a 58mm Bluetooth thermal printer with a cash drawer and works with all major operating systems including iOS, Android and Windows to provide users with a versatile solution that is ready to work with a chosen mobile, software and card payment system. Bluetooth connectivity results in only one mains cable being required for full operation while the mPOP LED display will quickly determine pairing status as well as any issues such as paper out, etc. With 4 USB ports, additional tablet, phone, scanner, etc charging is available from the one cable.
For web-based solutions, Star WebPRNT provides simple platform agnostic receipt printing direct from web based applications to the industry’s largest range of Bluetooth printers, using Star’s new WebPRNT Browser or via a ‘plug-in’ interface option. The new Star WebPRNT Browser available from GooglePlay or the App Store simplifies direct printing from the Web to Star’s extensive range of low cost ticket / label / kitchen / mobile Bluetooth printers providing unique tablet based Web printing for hospitality and retail applications as well as supporting all current web technologies.
Star’s AsuraCPRNT™, 38cm high ‘All-in-One’ interactive communication platform, offers a unique hardware option for developers to build custom apps to create an integrated value-added solution. Incorporating a powerful processor, touch screen, high quality thermal printer and optional integrated MSR and QR/Barcode scanner, the AsuraCPRNT maximises valuable store space for use as a standalone terminal or server to drive custom applications and web content.
