Sonda deploys master® Enterprise Alert and increases data centre SLA performance
· Real-time IT alert notifications extend HP Openview
Potsdam, Germany, 8 November 2011: Derdack (www.derdack.com), provider of advanced enterprise notification software today announced that Sonda, a leading data centre provider in Costa Rica, has deployed message master® Enterprise Alert at the heart of its managed service offering. The advanced notification software, which has been integrated with the HP Openview IT monitoring solution, has helped Sonda to improve performance against service level agreements (SLA) for its largest public sector client, and elevate customer service to new heights.
Sonda provides managed services to medium and large enterprises. However a reliance on basic email as the channel for communicating faults led to situations where IT engineers did not always receive timely notifications. This could potentially impact service availability which in turn would harm Sonda’s reputation for customer service.
Following a successful proof of concept project, Sonda deeply embedded message master® Enterprise Alert into the data centre providing critical IT infrastructure for its largest client and long-term customer, Caja Costarricense del Seguro Social, the Costa Rican Department of Social Security. Thanks to the plug & play HP Openview integration and general ease of use of the software, the project went live within just two weeks.
The enterprise notification software is integrated with HP Openview and Sonda’s in-house Service Desk incident management system. If HP Openview detects an event such as a potential hard disk failure, an alert is sent to the notification software which intelligently filters alerts, prioritises and sends them to the relevant service teams to ensure that critical notifications have the highest visibility.
Eduardo Sandoval, Managing Director, Sonda said, “We chose message master® Enterprise Alert as it has seamless integration with our IT monitoring system HP Openview. Derdack has established data centre references and we have been very pleased with the way it has enabled us to apply industry best practices to meet the response times defined in the SLA and provide an agile support service.” He added, “We operate in a competitive market and message master® Enterprise Alert allows us to add significant value to our data centre offering, which is crucial in attracting new business whilst increasing satisfaction for existing customers,”
Sonda is also building an IT monitoring centre to service its growing customer base and message master® Enterprise Alert will be a key part of the business offering. It provides the high levels of reliability in information distribution required in a critical infrastructure partner, and helps Sonda strengthen and improve their incident handling performance.
Matthes Derdack, Managing Director of Derdack concluded, “message master® Enterprise Alert was designed to enable rapid and reliable alert notifications even if traditional communication channels such as email are affected. It is perfectly suited to the high availability requirements of a data centre where incidents have to be dealt with before they impact on critical service availability.”
The implementation at Sonda reinforces Derdack’s position as the leading provider of enterprise notification software with a growing worldwide client base and an ever increasing presence in the Americas.
At this year’s HP Discover from 29 November to 1 December in Vienna, Derdack is showcasing the latest enterprise notification technology and smartphone apps for mobile access to HP IT management products. Derdack will be exhibiting on stand 56 in the HP Discover Zone.
