Mobile Operator experiences A2P SMS revenue protection and substantial reduction in spam
Robi’s Vice President, Communication and Corporate Responsibility, Ekram Kabir, said: “We are very happy to see the results of the deployment of 365squared’s A2P SMS monetization services in our network. With the customers’ increasing adoption of internet and digital services in the market, the drastic reduction in the number of spam certainly helps us to strengthen our credential as a leading digital company thanks to 365squared.”
Robi, with 36.2 million active subscribers, has introduced many first of its kind digital services in Bangladesh and has invested heavily in taking mobile financial services to the underserved communities in the rural and semi-urban areas. The operator deployed the services of 365squared to bring confidence to the Bangladesh market.
The solution by 365squared, which is part of a five-year contract, is also deployed on the domestic links to ensure that grey routes, also known as ‘bypass fraud’, are eliminated on a 24/7 basis by 365squared’s Service Management Centre.
“We are delighted to be celebrating our one-year anniversary of working with Robi,” said Roneel Prasad, Chief Commercial Officer, 365squared Limited. “A2P messaging is a fragmented ecosystem and our deep understanding of the market without having a conflict of interest and our in-house tools and analytics, coupled with our 24/7 managed service, is helping our partners, such as Robi, develop an effective strategy and have the peace of mind that they deserve.”
Roneel continued: “The benefits of A2P SMS monetization were clear on the third day of the contract and revenues started to be realised from then on, proving that we understand the challenges mobile network operators have to deal with in securing and monetizing A2P traffic patterns. The highly-experienced team at 365squared have ensured significant revenue increase and customer satisfaction levels throughout the entire process.”
