York, 11th December 2018; License Dashboard, the UK based Software Asset Management technology vendor, has today announced a partnership with Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) licensing management provider Binadox. This new partnership will enable License Dashboard’s clients to track and manage SaaS applications from within their License Dashboard application, helping to reduce software budgets even further by optimising employees’ SaaS usage. Furthermore, by gaining detailed insights of all the SaaS applications being used across the organisation, License Dashboard users will be better positioned to root out and eradicate instances of “Shadow IT”.
By combining Binadox’s SaaS usage data with License Dashboard’s on-premise software insights (across desktops and servers), License Dashboard users benefit from the complete picture of software usage across the organisation, helping them to reduce the time and effort they spend managing licenses and spending more time on optimising software spend.
Binadox’s platform identifies SaaS applications used in an organisation and provides detailed insights and statistics, discovering SaaS underutilization and detecting “Shadow IT”. By integrating with the License Dashboard technology platform, Binadox offers various SaaS management and discovery methods by offering a combination of not only API and Single-Sign-On but also Proxy or Endpoint-based SaaS discovery and management. This enables License Dashboard users to capture mature API SaaS apps as well as detecting non-API based applications and gathering more granular data.
SaaS remains the largest segment of the cloud market, with revenue expected to grow 22.2% to reach $73.6 billion in 2018. Gartner expects SaaS to reach 45% of total application software spending by 2021.
