The GTC conference is an annual event hosted by NVIDIA for GPU and AI developers, and as it is an important benchmark for technology development in the AI industry, Huawei was in attendance.
Shown during the conference, Huawei’s intelligent cloud hardware platform Atlas and G series heterogeneous servers G5500 and G2500 pioneer state-of-the-art technologies such as GPU resource pooling and intelligent orchestration. They provide flexible, intelligent compute resource deployment for diverse services, including video and voice analysis, image recognition, and data searching. The platform bolsters performance by over 10 times and improves hardware resource utilization by over 50%. Currently, the Huawei Atlas platform and G series heterogeneous servers fully support the NVIDIA enterprise-grade GPU products, including NVIDIA® Tesla® P100, P40, P4, and the latest-generation Volta V100.
Huawei gave a speech at the AI and City Forum
During the ‘AI and City Forum’ at the conference, Huawei introduced the successful case study of the Shenzhen Traffic Police Bureau in smart transportation. By using Huawei’s AI platform, the Bureau is able to pre-filter traffic violation images, enabling a 10-fold increase in image screening efficiency. This intelligent traffic solution was jointly developed by Huawei and the Shenzhen Traffic Police Bureau, and has been honored with the ‘2017 Innovative Road Traffic Offering’ award from the Chinese Road Traffic Safety Association.

Huawei servers also rank 1st both by overall shipment volume and sales revenue in China, with a 32.4% YoY increase in shipment volume and 57.3% YoY increase in sales revenue2. So far, 197 of the Fortune Global 500 and 45 of the Top 100 enterprises have selected Huawei as their partner for digital transformation.
