Season two will provide real-life accounts from major incidents including the Bishopsgate bombings, Hurricane Sandy and the Kingsway fire
Launched in 2016, season one of The Business Continuity Podcast, brought together experts responsible for managing business continuity for some of the largest organisations in the world, to provide an introduction to business continuity and disaster recovery.
Season two delves deeper, looking at individual recovery stories including incidents such as the Bishopsgate bombing, Hurricane Sandy and The Kingsway fire. Interviewees detail not only how the events unfolded, but also provide their take on the lessons learnt from each incident.
Peter Groucutt, managing director of Databarracks commenting on the launch of season two: “The purpose of The Business Continuity Podcast was to bring advice from the best practitioners to the masses and to help educate SMEs. For us, the best stories from the first season were the first-hand accounts of recoveries, so that is what we have chosen to focus on for season two.”
“From the outside looking in, business continuity can feel impenetrable with all its jargon and models. In season two however, we again see that even in very large organisations, continuity doesn’t need to be complex to be effective. These stories show that continuity is fundamentally just planning, common sense and effective management and can be achieved by organisations of any size.”
