Telmap Partners with iPUBLISH for ultra-local German content
Integrating PRINZ guides and additional iPUBLISH content into the Telmap Mobile Location Companion
LONDON, Monday 28 November, 2011 – Telmap, pioneers in mobile location-based services, today announces a partnership with iPUBLISH, a content sales specialist for the development of digital travel guides and event applications for navigation systems and other mobile platforms, integrating iPUBLISH’s guides including PRINZ guides into the Telmap Mobile Location Companion.
The new iPUBLISH additions include 2 content packages:
- Prinz event guide: The most recognized events guide brand in Germany, covering tens of thousands of events each month in 200 German cities, catering to a young, hip audience.
- Prinz TOP guide: An aggregation of Germany’s trendiest City Guides featuring independent reviews of restaurants, bars, clubs, shops, and trendy hairdressers in Berlin, Dresden, Dusseldorf, Frankfurt, Hamburg, Hannover, Cologne, Leipzig, Munich and Stuttgart
The iPUBLISH content packages will be available on a premium content basis on top of the Mobile Location Companion that’s available for free to users inGermany on Android, iPhone, and Blackberry devices (selected operators). Users will be able to choose and mix, purchasing packages according to their interests and passions, through a simple, one-time click-n’-buy in-app purchase mechanism (reflected on their mobile bill).

Train2Game Students Design Game for UK Film Council Feature Film
London, 25 Nov 2011 – Train2Game, provider of games industry training courses, today announces that a team of its students has won a competition to design a game that will be part of ambitious £5m UK Film Council feature film, Avenging Angels. The winning students were invited to a lunch and creative discussion at the prestigious BAFTA HQ, including a commitment by the director and producer to share more details of the script so that the game may develop further.
The film’s story includes two games, one of which turns out to be the source of a dark force in the community. Train2Game students were required to submit full design documents for what form this game might take, with their creating becoming part of the film itself, as well as being considered for public release to accompany it.
Entrants were required to design one of two games referenced in the fiction of the story – either a full web game created by one of the characters or a smaller smartphone game based on Hangman, which also turns out to be the source of a dark force in the community.

Open Mobile API Release 2 Now Available From SIMalliance

Euro RSCG London creates 3D ‘virtual tour’ app of Leonardo da Vinci’s studio for Credit Suisse, in partnership with the National Gallery
The app puts users into the studio allowing them to take a full 360 degree tour
Euro RSCG London has created the first ever 360 degree 3D app of Leonardo da Vinci’s studio to coincide with the National Gallery’s exhibition: ‘Leonardo da Vinci: Painter at the Court of Milan’, which started on November 9. This is part of a wider campaign which includes print, digital and outdoor stands showcasing Credit Suisse’s sponsorship of the exhibition.
The app allows a peek into the studio and a QR code to download the app directly from the app store onto your device. The app is currently available on iOS (iPad and iPhone) and on Android. It allows people the opportunity to take a virtual tour around Leonardo da Vinci’s studio in the Court of Milan in the 15th Century, stopping to find out more about the surroundings, the paintings and other features along the way.
